Early Spring Update

Hi Folks,

We’ve been very busy this winter. Twelve homes are up and nearing completion. We have welcomed several other new Residents and look forward to several more soon. The selection for our Detached Cottage Style homes is shrinking fast as we only have four left. At this pace they are sure to sell before the end of Spring.

Watch for more pictures and updates soon. In the meantime, please stop out for a visit!

Take care, e

Take a stroll along the river…

Hi All,

I thought you may enjoy a video from a short stroll I took the other day.  One of the special benefits of living at Hutchinson Point is our proximity to the Milford Oval and wonderfully maintained walking trails along the river.  This is a special place – trek along sidewalks from Hutchison Point past the Amato Center and enjoy the views…

Take care, e

Approaching Thanksgiving.

Welcome back.  As we approach Thanksgiving, I give thanks for the wonderful folks we have meet during this project.  Many have become customers and soon they will become residents.  Our first residents plan to move in just after Thanksgiving.  Very exciting!

Thanks for joining us on this journey.  Please come visit when you are out and about.  We will have weekend Open Houses starting shortly.  Sunday mornings between 11am – 1pm.

Take care, e

PS.  Check out the pictures just posted…

AG Approved and Ready to Go!

Hi Folks,

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve talked.  Our crews have been busy moving dirt, running utilities and building homes.  While John and I focus on managing the process, foundation and framing crews have been moving quickly to make our vision a reality.  Seven Detached Cottage foundations are now in and our 1st two homes are framed and nearly ‘weather-tight’.  If you haven’t been by recently, please stop in for a visit.  Best to call ahead so I can meet you on-site for a tour.

We recently received final Attorney General approvals, so we are converting non-binding reservations to Purchase and Sale Agreements.  This is the next step toward moving our first Residents in before year end.    More than a handful have decided Hutchinson Point is home and we are excited to help make this a reality.

Here are a few recent pictures of our progress.

More soon…

Take care, e

Moving Fast

Hi All,

The past several weeks have been busy.  Although we had a few setbacks – running into ledge and unexpected hurdles bringing the sewer line to our property, we finally reached the site with the Town Sewer.  While navigating these challenges our site contractor and foundation crew have been working on foundations, internal roads and drainage.  We completed the first six house foundations plus two detached garage foundations.

With foundations in, we are gearing up to start framing new homes in the coming month.  Additionally, much planning continues as we finalize plans for the ‘Garden Cottage’ buildings and Community Rooms.  (Watch for the new plan to be posted soon).

The amenities and concepts for the Community Room continue to take shape.  Currently, amenities include a small fitness area and gathering space for get togethers with friends and neighbors.  The emphasis will be on “active”.  Although Hutchinson Point is an age restricted property – 55 and older, we like to focus on the concept of “active adult” living.  The fitness room will be open to all Residents offering a variety of low impact tools to continue your fitness regiment without trekking off to the health club.  We have acquired a treadmill, recumbent bike and elliptical machine.  These will be housed in the lower level of the Community Room that   Residents can access daily.  Additional “active” amenities include a couple community gardens where Residents can work together or independently to grow produce, flowers, etc.  What a great way to commune with neighbors while connecting with nature?  We will continue to explore ways to build activities into Hutchinson Point so that Residents experience the much richer life that can develop from being engaged in community.

More later…

Accepting Non-binding Reservations

Hi Folks,

Construction is moving along well.  We have filed with the State AG and await final approval to take binding agreements.  In the meantime, we have opened up the first phase for non-binding reservations.

We are bringing municipal sewer to the site, running down Rte 13.  Unfortunately, we ran into a bit of ledge.  We are working through the challenges this creates, but we press on.  This is just one of the unexpected things that comes up in construction.  Framing for the first (3) homes is planned for the next several weeks.  Additional foundations will be going in next week.  Things are really taking shape.  Come on by and see our progress.

We look forward to meeting you.
